1910's Ty Cobb Store Counter Display original authentic advertisement stand-up. This is the only one we've come across in our adventures of selling and buying. We've researched it, and it's 100% authentic with the correct print and thick cardstock from the early 1900's-1910. Ty Cobb is known as one of the greatest hitters in the history of baseball, but not only that, he's known for his shoes just like in this advertisement piece stand-up! When we say his shoes, we mean his sharpened cleats! Cobb was a prolific base stealer, and he would often sharpen them until they were razor sharp to put fear into the other players who were attempting to block his way rounding the bases. This advertisement is more of a thick card as it's on sturdy cardboard.. and it's definitely an eye-catch piece as it stands 16 inches in height. We will probably never see another like it anywhere as it's that rare. These counter displays were not made to survive, but this one did, which adds to its fantastic lore.
