A fabulous 1970's D'Orlan signed brooch featuring a pair of Cockatoo's perched on an emerald green enameled branch. These gorgeous birds have pave crystal bodies and emerald green eyes on a triple 22kt gold plated base. Approximately 2" tall. Signed D'Orlan. In fine vintage condition.
D'Orlan jewelry Ltd. was founded in 1957 by Maurice J. Bradden in Toronto, Canada. It used the finest hand set Austrian Crystals & Japanese pearls in its jewelry. They were also known for their use of a triple plate 22kt gold finish. In 1979 D'Orlan acquired the well molds of the renown Marcel Boucher from his wife 13 years after his death.
