Cotyledon pendens – often called Cliff Cotyledon or Cliffhanger Cotyledon – is a trailing succulent native to cliffs and rocky slopes in South Africa. It’s prized for its long, cascading stems and fleshy leaves tipped in red.
Appearance:
	•	Stems can trail over 2 feet (60 cm) long.
	•	Leaves are thick, teardrop-shaped, pale green to bluish with a distinctive red margin.
	•	Produces clusters of bell-shaped orange to coral flowers in late summer to fall.
Care Requirements:
	•	Light: Bright, indirect light to partial sun indoors; full sun to partial shade outdoors. Too much intense midday sun can scorch leaves.
	•	Water: Water deeply when soil is completely dry. Reduce watering in winter when growth slows. Avoid standing water.
	•	Soil: Fast-draining cactus/succulent soil with added perlite or pumice.
	•	Temperature: Prefers 60–85°F (16–29°C). Protect from frost; not hardy below 30°F (-1°C).
	•	Fertilizer: Use a diluted succulent fertilizer once a month during spring and summer. No feed
