Hamilton Signed Limited Edition Vintage Artwork

This is one of my absolute favorite pieces of Art. Ben Hamilton 1963 "the Stump" signed by the artist and numbered 953/1000.

The stump itself is a stunning display of detail. It stand forefront amidst a sinister fog that has rolled in to the area, it protects and acts as home to a critter that pokes its head from its base. The incredible detail from the broken reeds surrounding it to the floating log the is passing by the art tells a story of the day and times, so vividly if you look at it for long enough you might find the fog has rolled out of the art and into your living room. Finally artwork is generally set inside exceptional frames that present the artwork as fancy and grand. But, the stump is framed in a stump, the rustic unfinished and rough wood that frames the stump could have just as easily of been made from the stump in the artwork.
