For sale is a Decorative Reproduction of the Blown Glass Fishing Floats or Buoys that were widely used in the early to mid-20th century by Japanese fisherman to keep their nets and lines buoyant.
This particular piece is 12 inches in diameter and is made of a beautiful dark green glass. It is secured in authentic netting with a knot and loop that would allow for hanging, if desired. On the seal end, it appears to have a mock maker's mark with the likeness of a Japanese character to emulate the maker's marks of the original seals.
Both the float and netting are in LIKE NEW condition with no damage or flaws. (SEE PICTURES for condition details).
I personally purchased this float a few years ago at a boutique shop in the Outer Banks of North Carolina to use as a decor piece for our rental house.
