This is a Lionel 3469 O Gauge Post War Automatic Dump Car that is from 1951. It has a dumping feature which is activated by the 4th and 5th rails of remote-control tracks such as the O Gauge RCS and UCS sections or the 027 Gauge 6019 and 1019 sections. The aluminum, black painted car body is tilted upward and one side hinges downward to allow goods such as coal, lumber, pipes or whatever to be dumped into the bin. The car rides on a diecast metal frame with staple-end trucks and operating magnetic couplers. The body is in very good condition, it is clean, has been rewired, adjusted, and tested. It works very well. It would make a nice addition to your railroad. Included with this item an MPC era Lionel 160 Bin for catching the items that you dump. The green plastic tumbling media used in the video for demonstration purposes is included as shown.
