Purchased new in 2017, the battery was replaced for free at an authorized Apple store in 2020 due to Apple's recall. Subsequently, it was replaced with a "PSE certified" battery at an unauthorized store.
The reason for being junk is that the right Command key's clip is broken and easily comes off. There is uneven backlighting on the LCD screen. There is a crack in the display cover on the bottom right of the screen.
