1987 Signed Farnum
This 7’ Vintage Lightship basket is in great condition, the largest imperfection is the pin for the clasp is partially broken off.
The top scrimshaw carving features 2 wood ducks and the inside shows two mallards in flight landing on the water.
The leather hinge holding the top of the basket could use conditioning and should be handled with care.
The basket itself has few imperfections that are hardly noticeable but are pictured.
The penny fashioned at the bottom of the basket indicates the basket was finished in 1987 and the basket is signed on the bottom by well-known Nantucket Basket-weaver “Farnum”
