First American, thirteenth printing hardcover copy of Redwall by Brian Jacques (Philomel, 1987). Increasingly scarce and collectible early printing of the first US edition of this debut in the young adult fantasy adventure series of the same name. With illustrations. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with moderate rubbing/scuffing to faces and wear around the edges - including chipping, creases and small tears, the larger of which have tape applied to reverse side. Boards straight and clean but with corners slightly bumped. Binding is firm and spine is straight. Previous owner’s inscription on front endpaper, otherwise all pages clean and unmarked.
